In the first quarter of 2024, Emaar Properties announced achieving its highest quarterly real estate sales in its history, totaling AED 13.5 billion, a 47% increase compared to the same period last year. The cumulative sales volume for the group reached AED 78.3 billion by the end of March 2024, representing a 9% growth from the end of the previous year. The company’s revenues in the first quarter rose to AED 6.7 billion, with pre-tax net profits increasing by 16% to AED 4.3 billion, but net profits attributable to shareholders declined by 9%. The decrease in net profits is attributed to an increase in income tax expenses and non-recurring profits of AED 700 million. The strong performance in the first quarter is attributed to growth in the tourism sector, retail sales, and continued demand for real estate projects in Dubai.
