Qatar Airways has announced the provision of Starlink’s free wireless internet service aboard three Boeing B777-300 aircraft, making it the first airline in the Middle East and North Africa region to offer this service. This follows a collaboration between the airline and SpaceX’s Starlink, marking the first of its kind partnership for the global company in the Middle East and North Africa. The leading free service will enhance the passenger experience by providing limitless entertainment and information options onboard.
The first aircraft to be equipped with Starlink’s service are expected to be ready by the end of the year, with plans to expand this technology across Qatar Airways’ entire fleet over the next two years. The service allows passengers to enjoy high-speed internet at speeds of up to 500 megabits per second. This announcement represents a significant step towards enhancing the air travel experience and meeting the modern passenger needs in the aviation industry.
